We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations at our fine dining Indian restaurant led by Michelin Star Chef Sujan Sarkar in San Ramon. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role overseeing all aspects of daily service, team development, guest experience, and financial performance. Ideal candidates are polished, energetic, and deeply passionate about hospitality, excellence, and Indian cuisine. Guest Experience & Floor Leadership Be the face of the restaurant during peak hours — warm, professional, and highly attentive Ensure exceptional, personalized service at all times Resolve guest issues with empathy and speed Maintain fine dining standards for greeting, seating, pacing, table touches, and farewells Team Management Hire, train, and retain high-performing FOH and BOH teams Lead pre-shift meetings, service lineups, and performance coaching Create a culture of accountability, learning, and excellence Schedule, delegate, and manage floor and shift coverage to fine-dining expectations Operational Oversight Execute opening, mid, and closing procedures with precision Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and organization in all guest-facing and back-of-house areas Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost control (food, beverage, disposables) Manage maintenance, health, and safety compliance Financial Management Own weekly and monthly P&Ls with a focus on profitability Manage labor, food, and beverage costs to budget (COGS, Prime Cost) Drive top-line revenue through guest engagement, private dining, and special events Analyze sales reports, ticket averages, and adjust strategy accordingly Qualifications 5+ years of GM or AGM experience in an upscale or fine dining environment Deep knowledge of Indian cuisine or demonstrated cultural fluency preferred Proven leadership track record with strong references Proficient in POS, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant tech platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Polished appearance and professional demeanor Strong sense of urgency, humility, and hospitality-first mindset Compensation & Perks Salary Range: $85,000–$95,000 base + quarterly bonus Health Benefits Dining Privileges & Discounts Opportunities for growth into multi-unit or concept-level leadership
